& Drummer
We, the Creatures, are going to tell a dramatic, compelling story: an army of animated, talking animals, voiced by some of the world’s best-loved celebrities whose combined reach is in the billions.
These unique characters can fuel daily conversations and campaigns that enable fundraising at scale, driving engagement through positive hopeful content, inspiring people to act.
Your donation will put scientists in the field. It’ll put proper defences around precious rainforest.
It’ll keep orangutans in the DaMal rainforest, European mink in the Danube Delta and jaguars in Mirador National Park. Already we protect 10 million acres, and we’re expanding it to 25 million. These are the only places left on earth where species like rhinos, orangutans, elephants, and tigers coexist. And they’re rapidly emptying.
Unless we protect these areas, right now, we will lose them forever. Defending national parks in developing countries is our final hope of saving the last remaining animals. We need to train, equip, and empower conservationists, park rangers, and their allies to stop the illegal deforestation and poaching that are destroying our last few wildlife habitats.
With more scientists, conservationists, and ecologists supporting threatened ecosystems, we can reverse their decline and bring them back to life.
We’ve already started. Together with our local partners, we’re conserving critical habitats and priority species, enhancing their impact and success through science, story and funding.
For the first time scientists, policy makers, and campaigners will have a dynamic, quantified, and interactive view of biodiversity on our planet — breaking information silos, and empowering better decisions. With this powerful visual aid available for anyone in the world, we’ll spread awareness of the problem and empower ordinary people to demand change from policymakers. Across regional, national, and global scales, the database will enable us to pinpoint and evidence the places where resources are most desperately needed.
Working in tandem with the IUCN’s Red List, the database consolidates current publicly available data and research on biodiversity loss gathering all species extinction into one single, unified source and interface. It visualises the distribution of all species on Earth, allowing ordinary people around the world to click anywhere on the planet and explore the species that live there.
Scientists and citizens alike will have an open resource tool that they can harness in meaningful ways. Eventually everyone will be able to see population trends and the particular methods that could help individual species to recover.
So that we can create direct global access to a master dashboard, showing us exactly the problems, opportunities, and the impact of our actions. Leading to better informed decisions that genuinely help our environment.
Your donation will directly fund the continued development of this database, identifying the most promising avenues of supporting them, and demonstrate their crucial importance to the authorities with specific, up-to-date data.
We’re fighting to inform it with the latest science, because the existing protections are no longer capable of defending our animals and their ecosystems. We need new policies and protections.
Our ecosystems are under threat because of poor policy, poor planning, and poor knowledge. With new evidence-based policies, we can reverse these trends. There is room on this planet for all of us, human and animal alike, and with intelligent policy we can protect everyone.
International wildlife trade accounts for a huge proportion of our animal loss. Around 96% of elephants have been lost in the last 90 years, mainly because of poaching.
It doesn’t have to be like this. Most people around the world are already in favour of better protection. And better protections are proven to work, helping animal populations to quickly recover.
We can incentivize good stewardship and conservation, as well as providing local income and funding for environmental regeneration. We have the opportunity to come together, empower policymakers with science and support, and set up systems that reward good behaviour and help our ecosystems to heal.
We are looking for investors and donors to urgently help operationalise our organisation and projects.
Your donation is crucial, protecting our last remaining wildernesses and the animals that depend on them.
